Our story
Two Roosters is inspired by our Malaysian and Singaporean roots and a lifelong love for Hainanese Chicken Rice – a dish that’s simple, nostalgic, and deeply comforting.
The name Two Roosters started by paying homage to the cultural connection shared with this dish and nod to the Zodiac – both founders, Terence & Julien, are born in the year of the rooster. The spirit of “two roosters” lives on as a symbol of boldness, authenticity, and shared tradition. We started as a market stall in Swiss Cottage market in September 2024. The overwhelmingly positive response that followed gave us the confidence to pursue a permanent location in London.
At Two Roosters, we focus on doing one dish exceptionally well: our mission is to deliver a succulent plate of Hainanese Chicken Rice that is delicious, authentic and healthy – the perfect comfort for home cravings.

Menu
We aim to recreate the nostalgia of Southeast Asia’s bold and memorable flavours using traditional recipes. Our menu is carefully designed to showcase an authentic plate of Hainanese chicken rice alongside complementary side dishes using fresh ingredients that are locally sourced.
